ASIB’s (Automatic Sprinkler Inspection Bureau's) primary function is to inspect fixed automatic sprinkler installations with a view to issuing Clearance Certificates for those systems that complied with the nominated standard of design.
They currently carry out approximately six-thousand inspections per year on existing and new installations.
This protects their clients' interests and automatically, the insurance company and not that of the installing company.
They provide virtually the only method of ensuring that it complies with recognised Rules, Codes or Standards.
A comprehensive report is issued after each inspection. Further service is provided by advising Fire Brigades, Sprinkler Installers, Insurance Companies, Insurance Brokers, Property Developers, Property Owners, Architects and Consulting Engineers to name a few parties with vested interests.
